About the Thermal-formed HyePo 57-60 F100 Instrument Panel
Formed from tooling that was designed to maximize an accurate reproduction, these replicas of the original steel dash are as close to being dimensionally accurate to the original steel dash as possible. Each bezel is made fractionally larger around the edges and some trimming/sanding may be necessary to get that PERFECT FIT - after 60+ years, even the steel dash tweaks a bit so rather than making a one-size-fits-all panel, I opted to offer one that can be made to fit perfectly if desired. Just because the panel fits perfectly on my '57 doesn't mean it will fit perfectly on your '59.
NOTE about the Optional Rubber Grommet - it is included, typically shorter side out. be sure to remove the red film to expose the adhesive. Once sized, I use a bit of CA (i.e. super glue) glue just at the joint which I like to have on the lower driver corner of panel.
What's So Different about the HyePo Bezel?
The most notable difference is the effort in detail relative to the turn signals. For the money they charge, our competitors would simply have you install cheap round Radio Shack type LED lamps for turn signal indicators (which they charge extra for). The HyePo 57-60 F100 panel proudly offers the turn signal ARROWS found on the original Ford F100 Panel. Yes it takes more effort and must be cut by hand but I thought my truck deserved better than those round radio shack type LEDs... and your’s probably does too.
Even with the thicker ABS, I took the extra time to develop a panel that does not lose the detail much like our competitors. The clearest indication of this is in the fine detail, like the lower mounting holes. I made sure they are in the correct place yet not up against that bottom lip (refer to the image of Ours vs Theirs).
Additionally, not only is the HyePo 57-60 Instrument Panel better looking and dimensionally accurate, it costs you less including shipping than our competitors charge just for the panel w/o the cheap LED lights or shipping.
